I got an email from my sis and her partner. It kinda got to me, and I thought I might share it. As a Former Marine, I cannot begin to say how much I am repulsed by the direction that our county is going. I took an oath to defend the Constitution, and I cannot for the life of me, understand how some would take it and twist our nation into something it is not meant to be. Insanity knows no bounds with this Admin. and they wish to ignore the basic foundation of our nation.
Taking our nation into unknown territory, and invading a nation that has not provoked us, has led us into a hell on earth. Rev. Bush wishes to make us believe that he hears the word of GOD, and that he is the salvation of us all. Well Mr. Bush, I think you have it all wrong!! I will show you what makes this a great nation.
This is what has made our country great, and not you. We were around a long time before you came and soiled and raped our Constitution that so many have died for.
The Email:
Keep it moving, please, even if you've seen it before.
It is the VETERAN, not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the VETERAN, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the VETERAN, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the VETERAN, not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the VETERAN, who salutes the Flag,
It is the veteran, who serves under the Flag,
ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.
I don't know if you saw this in the news but it really impressed me. Funny, our US Senate/House took 2 days off as they couldn't work because of the expected storm.
On the ABC evening news, it was reported that, because of the dangers from Hurricane Isabelle approaching Washington DC, the military members assigned the duty of guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier were given permission to suspend the assignment.
They respectfully declined the offer, "No way, Sir!"
Soaked to the skin, marching in the pelting rain of a tropical storm, they said that guarding the Tomb was not just an assignment; it was the highest honor that can be afforded to a service person.
The tomb has been patrolled continuously, 24/7, since 1930.
I don't usually suggest that many emails be forwarded, but I'd be EXTREMELY proud if this one reached as many as possible. We can be very proud of our young men and women in the service no matter where they serve.
God Bless the them all!!!
I call on my fellow Marines and Veterans to speak out and reclaim our nation we once knew and loved Look into your hearts, and see if this is what you took an oath for. Our nation needs us more now, than ever. I am not only posting for peace, I am posting for my country and its survival as a free nation.
